Chabad Rabbis Instruct Followers Not to Vote for Marzel - Mar. 21, 2006

The Chabad Rabbinical Court came out against voting for small parties in next week’s election, fearing doing so would result in “wasted votes”.

Chabad rabbinical leaders took it a step further, instructing followers not to vote for Baruch Marzel and his National Jewish Leadership Party, realizing Marzel enjoys widespread support among Chabad hassidim.

While the rabbinical court did not endorse any specific party, it did instruct followers not to cast their vote for a small party, adding a vote should only be placed for a Torah-fearing party.
